WD-40® Multi-Use Product is great for disconnecting damaged, rusty pipes. Over time, exposure to air and moisture can cause a buildup of rust layers and corrosion causing different segments of pipe to adhere. Spray WD-40 directly onto the threading. Give it time to dissolve and break down the rust and it will penetrate and loosen corroded joints.
